          Greater Cleveland Voter Coalition

This coaltion was launched in March of 2003 as a non-partisan group dedicated to increase voter registration and provide important education on the political process.Electoral reform has now become one of the Coaliton's main activities.

During 2006, Cuyahoga County voters were introduced to the new electronic voting machines in the May primary and had to comply in November with new ID requirements imposed by the Ohio legislature.Coalition members opposed the introduction of the electronic voting machine ans also oppose the ID requirements. The Caolition continues to oppose them on the grounds that they are unnecessary. Voter fraud hardly ever occurs, according to a well-documented study by the Ohio League of Women Voters. ID requirements serve only to make it harder for people to vote.
