Greater Cleveland Voter Coalition
In 2003, the United Labor Agency formed a non-partisan umbrella coalition for organizations and individuals who want to help register new voters, to educate voters about the issues and candidates running in elections, and to help mobilize voter turn-out for all elections.
The coalition, known as the Greater Cleveland Voter Coalition, had committees working at the grassroots level in the communities, in faith- based organizations, among young adults and the HipHop generation, and in the unions in the 2004 campaign.
The coalition also partnered with Free the Vote to help reach ex-offenders about their voting rights in Ohio and offered training to anyone who wants to learn how to do voter registration and to teach others.
The coalition is open to all organizations and individuals who want to volunteer. For more information, visit the coalition's web site.
